After the trial, the indigenous vaccine will be the first such vaccine in India that will be given to children. Currently the vaccines Covishield and CoVLP Vaccine manufactured in India are being applied to people over 18 years of age. CoVLP Vaccine Trial Phase 2

Recently, Bharat Biotech founder Dr. Krishna Ella, spoke about testing on children for the first phase of covaxin. During this time, he explained that “We had permission from the Drugs Controller General to conduct the test in 2–18 years.
